Priority One exists to remove that friction. We’re a telehealth brand built on a simple idea: the person who should have the most say in your health is you. You choose the testing. We handle the physician order, the lab, and the results — and if you want care, we’ve built the path to it.

How it works

Our clinical partners include licensed clinicians who can order testing in 47 states. Testing isn’t available in New York, New Jersey, or Rhode Island yet.

Order online, walk into any of 2,000+ Quest Diagnostics locations across those 47 states — no appointment, no insurance, no doctor visit — and your results land in your Priority One dashboard about a week later. We chart every result over time, so you can trend changes from one draw to the next.

One flat $10 lab service fee per order helps cover our physician network and the phlebotomy fees from Quest. It’s charged once per order, no matter how many tests you add. Our goal is pricing you can see up front, so you’re never hit with a surprise.

Care through Altro Health

Testing alone isn’t much help when results point toward something you want to act on. That’s why we partnered with Altro Health. Treatment is delivered by Altro’s network of licensed physicians who specialize in the specific care they provide — not a general referral, but clinicians who work in that area every day. Testing and treatment, connected, without you having to assemble it yourself.

Cash pay, on purpose

We don’t bill insurance. We’re a cash-pay company that accepts HSA and FSA cards, and that’s a deliberate choice — no prior authorizations, no claim denials, no surprise bill three months later. It also means the clinicians in our network spend their time on care instead of reimbursement paperwork. You see the price, you pay the price, and everyone involved can focus on the actual medicine.

Who’s behind it

Priority One was built by Austin Walker, a registered nurse with over a decade in emergency medicine. He spent those years watching the same thing happen: people who wanted to understand their own health, and a system that made it needlessly hard — testing that wasn’t offered, questions that didn’t fit inside a fifteen-minute visit, answers that took years to find.

This company is the answer to that. It’s independently owned with no venture funding, which means the only people we answer to are the ones ordering tests.

What we are, precisely

Priority One is not a healthcare provider. We don’t practice medicine, diagnose, or treat.

What we do is build and operate the framework that connects you to people who can: independent licensed physicians who order your labs, Quest’s laboratories that run them, and Altro’s physician network for treatment. It’s access to testing and care that isn’t always part of a standard primary care visit — assembled into something you can actually use.
