How to prepare

  • Fast for 8–12 hours before your draw. Water is fine.
  • Draw between 7:00 and 9:00 a.m. Cortisol is read against a morning reference range, so a later draw can't be interpreted.
  • If you still have periods, draw on cycle day 2–5 — count the first day of full flow, not spotting, as day 1. FSH, LH, estradiol and progesterone are read against cycle-phase reference ranges, so a draw at an unknown point in the cycle can't be compared to them.
  • If your cycles are irregular or have stopped, draw whenever is practical — there is no better day, and your clinician will read the results in that context.

Common questions

Do I need a doctor's visit or referral?
No. An independent licensed physician authorizes the lab order as part of checkout. There's no appointment and no referral.
Where do I get my blood drawn?
At any Quest Diagnostics location. Your lab order arrives by email a few minutes after checkout — walk in, or book a time if you prefer. Not available in New York, New Jersey or Rhode Island.
What does it cost in total?
The test price plus a flat $10 lab service fee per order, which covers your blood draw and the physician-authorized order. The fee is charged once, no matter how many tests you add.
Can I use my HSA or FSA card?
Yes. HSA/FSA cards are accepted.
Do you take insurance?
No. Prices are cash prices, shown upfront before you check out.
When do I get my results?
Usually in about a week. We email you when they're ready (the email never includes your results), and they show up in your Priority One dashboard.
Will a doctor go over my results with me?
No. Your results go straight to your dashboard. Take them to your own healthcare provider to talk through what they mean for you.
What if I change my mind?
You can get a full refund any time before your blood is drawn.
